Gowri Munjal, born in 1985, is a Delhi girl. She has graduated in commerce from Delhi University.

It was during her college years that she got attracted to acting. When the college going Gowri was adjudged Miss Delhi University by the likes of Jackie Shroff and Satish Kaushik, her spirit got inflammed.

Trying to find a role in Mumbai, the girl landed up as the lead female with Allu Arjun in ‘Bunny’ and shot into overnight fame. Deciding to continue in Tollywood, she acted in ‘Bhookailash,’ ‘Kausalya Supraja Rama’ and ‘Bangaru Babu.’ ‘Namma Basava’ was her first Kannada movie and then followed others, though unsuccessfully.

The actress aspires to be casted in films and roles acceptable for family viewing and wants to cast an image like actress Soundarya. Her favourite among actors is Chiranjeevi.
