Mallanna, the much-awaited, much-expected and high-budget movie, which was in talks for about two years, is ready to hit the screens. The movie will be releasing in both Telugu and Tamil simultaneously on 21 August worldwide.

Mallanna stars Vikram and Shirya in the lead. Super star Krishna will appear in a special role. The movie is directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu with a budget of about 60 crore. Devi Sri Prasad scored music.

It is said that Vikram has dedicated much to the movie. He did not accept any other projects when the movie was in progress. To render reality to the movie, he performed all the stunts by himself. Added to these, he sung four songs (both in Tamil and Telugu).

Mallanna is an action-based musical entertainer with a strong message to the people. It is based on the prevailing economic inequalities (huge economic differences existing between the rich and the poor) in the country. How did Mallanna try to eliminate these differences, forms the theme of the story. The adventures he undergoes in his mission are said to be great attractions to the movie. Music is an added asset to the movie.
