We had seen several times in the past, and the same is being done again now. May it be as Star Cricket or Star Night or some other event – one industry that has always been closer to the people, living with them, and stands first for them in times of need is the Film Industry. Once again they have come forward for another noble cause, and this time not just from Tollywood but also from Kollywood and Bollywood to fill hope and raise confidence among the distressed who lost everything in the recent floods that hit the state.

The “Movie Artist Association” under the chairmanship of Dr. Dasari Narayana Rao has organized “Starnight” with the name "Spandana" on 7th November to raise huge funds to help the flood victims of the state. Nandamuri Balakrishna is acting as the executive chairman for the event. The venue is G M C Balayogi Stadium (Gachi Bowli Stadium), Hyderabad. Almost all the celebrities, artists and technicians from Tollywood, and stars like Rajini Kanth, Arjun, Vikram, Surya and Vijaykanth from Kollywood, and Jithendra, Rajesh Khanna, Sri Devi and Jaya Prada from Bollywood will be attending the show.

Speaking about the event, Murali Mohan, the president of Movie Artists Association (MAA) said that the event begins from 5.44 p.m. and continues till 10.15p.m.
