Karthik Sivakumar (well konwn as Karthi), was earlier known as the brother of Surya Sivakumar. Now, he has created his own identity. Though he was able to establish himself as a hero with his very first film ‘Paruthiveeran’ (Tamil), it is ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’ (Aayirathil Oruvan) that brought him more close to audience both in Kollywood and Tollywood.

As a part of promotion of his film, Karthik recently came to Hyderabad. He saw the film amidst audience in a theater in the city. After seeing the people's response, he thanked the Telugu audience for receiving so well. He said that he is now enjoying the fruits of his two-year hard work. Further, he praised the dedication and hard work of the film’s director, Selvaraghavan. Finally, he said that there will be a sequel to ‘Yuganiki Okkadu’ but did not give the exact time when it would begin.
